We arrived in the United States as refugees from Hungary in the last few days of 1956 after the Revolution was defeated by the Soviet Union, escaping on foot the extremely oppressive Communist Regime. We had nothing but our medical degrees papers with us and our desire to live in freedom.

This country provided this incredible blessing of freedom for us and eventually our children. It also provided the opportunity to work hard for a safe life unattainable under Communist oppression.

Gratefully,

Dr. Imre M.Sandor
Dr. Katalin Festy-Sandor
