COAR supports locally resettled refugees in their efforts to build positive, self-sufficient lives. In pursuit of this mission, COAR currently engages in four primary activities: h3. Volunteer Anchor Program Recruiting and training volunteers to provide individualized support to recently resettled refugees families. h3. Reaching Higher! College Prep Program Mentoring refugee students toward pursuing higher education. h3. Awareness and Advocacy Program Raising public awareness and promoting heightened community engagement in refugee issues. h3. Youth Leadership Program COAR continues to be youth-led and youth-run, offering leadership opportunities to young people desiring leadership experience and a deeper knowledge of refugees and refugee issues.
